Smoky quartz: Brown to black, smoky gray. The coloring is caused by natural and artificial gamma rays. Frequent inclusions are rutile needles. We have no notification of treatment on this gem but we did not mine the rough so we would rather assume it could be treated which is a normal procedure and enhances the color
