Gorgeous looking purple garnet. Great cut to show off the full color flash. You have to get the angles right to get the light to reflect back out of the face of the stone in order for it to be considered a true a gem. Don't buy imperfectly cut stones thinking you're getting a bargain as it's very expensive to get a stone recut. Like $100/ct just to cut so if they take a 5 ct stone and make it 3 you pay $300 and more if the stone is harder.
