OPAL AND COPPER
This is a natural rough specimen mined in Ojuelos jalisco in Mexico.The silica has traces of copper in it. When polished it looks like timber veins[ but its not!] it is also called ‘redwood ‘stone. We have taken the photo with the stone wet
This bubbly liquid formed a extremely wild mixture of botryoidal forms and patterns.
Interesting as a collectors item.
