Scolecite is a beautiful stone found in India, with a stunning silky striated luster. It is found near Pune in India. However it is more popularly known by mineral collectors for the beauty of the specimens. But we are lucky to have it cut in to cabochon, and even pairs - as we have also listed. Please see our other beautiful single cabochon listed. We really have sourced and cut the best available. The hardness of Scolecite is 5 to 5.5mm and it is a light stone - so large stones can be worn as earrings!
