Description
gr35 b3 This magnificent sapphire is from the parcel we got many years ago from the Umba valley Tanzania. it was a tricky stone to cut but well worth the effort. this light purple sapphire is very difficult to come by at 3cts smaller stones might be easier to get but we haven't seen one of these for a long time. returns very good brilliance regardless of any lighting conditions. would be perfect in a pendant or even an extravagant ring. It has colour shift capability, so in order to display this I have taken photos under a daylight corrected light and other photos were taken under a common house hold fluro in my kitchen . as you can see there is quite a difference. Sapphires are rare sapphires this colour {take your pick ha ha } are rarer still colour shift sapphires changing between two rare colours, HEAVEN !!! While there are many artificial stones being made these days they can not make the range of colour mother earth provides. If you want that stone to help make a truly individual piece of jewelry this stone would certainly measure up in both colour and size! I wish my camera could take more accurate photos as far as colour goes, the purple in the photo is washed out compared to real life.! I have taken photos of the evaluation certificate so you can get a better understanding of the stone. the description mentions the stone having a more red tone under certain lighting.
