Zambian oval cut emerald.  Very pretty stone and a nice size for a ring or pendant.  Not treated with oil like the Colombian emeralds.  Natural.  This is the last stone from a parcel of Zambian emeralds I had.  You can't get them anymore because the mines all flooded a couple years back.  Zambia was the last place on earth where shallow emeralds were being found.  Zambia has produced the best emeralds avaliable.

Slight inclusions noted with the naked eye.  Inclusions commonly acceptable in emeralds.  If you see an emerald without inclusions it probably is a fake.  This stone is very gemmy in appearance.  It is transparent and the gemm beauty comes from within the stone not just the surface.  Any stone that is not transparent is not considered a gem grade stone.
